Every professional magician dreams of those once-in-a-lifetime moments, and attending the Royal Variety after-show party with 12 other world class close-up magicians has to be mine.

With over 2,000 guests, an atmosphere buzzing with excitement, and a guest list that included celebrities, industry icons, and even members of the Royal Family.

It was and amazing evening of glamour and magic in every sense of the word, and i’m still pinching myself that I was apart of it all now.

Glitz, glamour, and a deck of cards...

The whole eveing felt like stepping into a movie. Picture this: glittering chanderliers, expert lighting, everyone dressed like they have just stepped out of vogue, and me, armed with a deck of cards, my performance style and a few tricks up my sleeve.

You could feel the buzz in the air-this wasn’t just any party; it was the Royal Variety After-Show Party!

Celebrity reactions and a night to remember

The sheer scale of the event was staggering, yet magic had a way of making the evening feel personal. Watching people forget about the cameras, lights, and glitz of the evening as they were transported into a world of wonder, remineded me why I fell in love with performing.

Now, I can’t name drop (okay, I actually can, but I will keep this professional), but let’s just say some very famous faces pulled some of the most amazing reactions (bucklist ticked off). You are probably thinking celebrities who’ve seen it all would be a tough crowd, right? In fact, the complete opposite. The gasps, the laughter, the “how on earth did you do that?” reactions, were absolute pure golden moments that will stay with me forever.

Furthermore, creating moments that go far beyond “standard entertainment,” Is exactely what the Royal Variety Show is all about. As a professional entertainer my performance style is far more than just a few tricks everyone can work out; my aim is to create unforgettable moments of astonishing wonder, engaging experiences that turn strangers into friends, and leaves your guests talking about you and your event.

A royal reaction

Then came the big one-performing for the Royal familys friends and associates. Let me tell you this, that is a surreal experience. You are standing there thinking to yourself, “Don’t mess this up. Don’t drop your cards. Don’t forget to be fun and most imprtantley, don’t say something supid!” But as soon as they smile at you and lean in, those nerves soon disapear (just like a few rings).

I can’t spill all the details (royal rules and all that), but let’s just say they are as amazing as everyone else. Performing close-up magic and seeing them enjoy it, Is absolutely just as unforgettable as my magic.

As the evening wound down, I took a moment to reflect on the journey that brought me here-from practicing magic tricks from ceral boxes as a child, to sharing the room with the UK’s most talented professional magcians and esteemed guests. it’s been an incredible ride, and nights like this are the fuel that keeps the magic alive for me.

It was an honor to present the art of magic on such a prestigious level and share it with like minded piors. It wasn’t just about the magic, though. It’s about the connections, the shared experiences and laughter. That moment when the world stops and everyone is there with you, in awe. That is the real power of magic-it brings people together, no matter who you are.
